Subtitles on you own mobile device
You can follow the subtitles on your own iPhone or Android device.
In addition, the theatre has a limited number of smartphones available to borrow from our front-of-house staff. The subtitling system we use has been developed by the Finnish company Loitsut. The app is called Subtitle Mobile and is available in Apple’s App Store and on Google Play.
Our staff will be happy to assist you before the performance or during the intermission.
If you’re using your own phone, follow these steps:
Before the performance:
- Download the Subtitle Mobile app (by Loitsut Oy) from the App Store or Google Play.
- Make sure your phone is fully charged when you arrive at the theatre. The app consumes a significant amount of battery power.
Inside the auditorium:
- Ensure your phone is set to silent.
- Follow the instructions in the app and enter the 4-letter code. You can find the code on your ticket or by asking one of our staff.
- Choose your preferred subtitle language: Swedish or Finnish.
The name of the performance will now appear on your screen, and the subtitles will start automatically once the performance begins.
You can adjust your screen brightness by touching the screen and using the slider that appears along the top edge.
You can also switch subtitle language at any time by tapping the icon in the top right corner.
To exit the subtitle view, tap the X icon in the top left corner.
Please close the app after the performance ends.
